This is one of the questions we get all the time. How long should you take herbs?
As with most things, the answer is…
It depends on you. It depends on the herb. It depends on what you’re taking them for. So there is no quick and easy answer like exactly 32.67 days.
That doesn’t mean you’re always on the same herbs, but that herbs are something that are a regular part of your diet. Really understand this and you will unlock one of the keys to radiant health.
That’s herbs in general. What about when it comes down to how long should you take specific herbs? The answer is still it depends.
What are you looking for? What benefits are you hoping to bring?
With some herbs and some benefits, you may be able to notice some benefits right away. With our pine pollen and the morning wood guarantee, many people can notice that from one night into the next morning. Other guys will need to be dosing with the pine pollen for weeks before that benefit becomes apparent.
With assistance to the hormones, even if you can feel that “testosterone rush” in the moment with the pine pollen tincture, for lasting hormonal benefits you still must take it over time. This is because we want (generally) higher total and free testosterone not in a single moment but over time.
Some people may take shilajit resin and notice how it effects their mind right away. Or their feelings of energy. But if you’re looking for the metabolism boosting qualities, and that helping with weight loss, that of course will take some time. (And please don’t think shilajit will do all the work for you. This is best done in combination with diet, movement and lifestyle.)
For any herb I could list out similar effects and what you could expect. Then those expectations may be what you experience…or not.
Because, remember, everyone is different. That is why we always talk about trying multiple herbs because not everything works for each person. Just recently I read a story of a customer that tried out Thor’s Hammer and got nothing from it. Judging by reviews that seems to be the case for about 25% of people that try it.
After contacting customer service we offered a refund and told him to try something else. He went for the pine pollen and voila. Instantly, he noticed big benefits.
Other customers have gone the exact opposite. Starting with pine pollen and nothing. Tried out Thor’s Hammer and there the magic happens.
This is why it is important to experiment and realize that herbs may bring benefits along different time frames:
- Right Away
- A Week
- A Month
- Once You Stop Taking It
- Not At All
These are each covered in far more detail in this article about feeling the effects of herbs.
Ultimately, it is about find the herbs that work for you. Experiment with lots of herbs and find your herbal allies.
Just like you’re not going to like, befriend or love every other human you meet, so it is with these plants. But “meet” a lot of them and you’ll find those ones that you connect with. That plant ally may then be a friend that you stick with for years and years.
