Superpower Blood Test Lab Results for Logan

Last updated on February 27, 2026

A relatively new company Superpower contacted me and offered a free lab test to try their platform. Considering it had been some time since I’d done a blood test, I jumped at the chance.

As usual, since I practice what I preach, things were looking pretty good. And of course, there was still some room for improvement. This article, and one to follow, will dive into these results, the good and the bad, so that you can learn from it.

About Superpower

Superpower is a prevention-focused health membership that combines 100+ biomarker blood tests, a clean results dashboard, and an AI-plus-human care team into what they call a “health super-app.”

For about $199 a year, members get a comprehensive annual lab panel, personalized health score and biological age, and ongoing guidance on diet, training, sleep, supplements, and optional prescriptions. It’s an attractive option if you want deeper, more proactive insight into your health than a standard annual physical.

It’s cheaper than similarly comprehensive labs, probably because they are making and monetizing specific supplements as a result of your results. In addition, additional tests are offered beyond the basic membership and lab panel, for additional costs.

You can find out more about Superpower here.

Privacy Concerns

There are some possible issues that I’d be remiss to not mention. Superpower’s model depends on aggregating a huge amount of sensitive data – labs, medical history, wearables, even genetics – and the company is not itself a HIPAA-covered provider.

They can also use and sell de-identified data for business purposes. Before you sign up, it’s worth carefully reading their privacy policy, consent forms, and terms to be sure you’re genuinely comfortable with how your data can be used and shared.

It gave me some pause, but in the end I did decide to use them. After all, I’m publishing at least some of my health data publicly here anyway, as I’ve done for years.

My Lab Results Overview

The blood test was a simple draw done at a local Quest Diagnostics office. A few days later, I had my test results.

I came back 10.3 years younger than my actual age.

In addition, they deliver a Superpower score, which is calculated by the amount of biomarkers you have in the optimal, normal, and out-of-range zones.

They also deliver an overall report card across different key areas. Straight A’s and B’s for me.

As you can see, most of my areas were doing great, with some needing a little bit of work. I won’t dive into everything here, but focus on a couple different areas. There are additional tests for Gut Health and Toxin Exposure but I didn’t do those at this time so there are no results. (Recently, I did a very comprehensive toxin screen which you can read about here.)

My Hormone Health

Since hormones are such a huge part of what we do at Lost Empire Herbs, I’ll start here.

I was not feeling my best going into this test. I was coming off of a minor illness that was brought about by international travel, with higher than normal stress, as my father ended up in the hospital just a few weeks before this test, and we were figuring out his end-of-life care. That’s only some of the major stressors going on in my life at the time of the test.

In other words, I was feeling far from optimal. Still, my numbers came back fairly solid, with some (consistent) exceptions.

If you’ve read any of my past lab results articles (such as this one or this one) you’ll see a pattern begin to emerge.

Using AI Chat for SHBG

This is something new that I found quite interesting and useful with Superpower. They have AI AI-powered chat available, so essentially, you can “talk to” your lab results to understand them better.

For instance, I asked the chat about my high SHBG and the chances of this being genetically driven, to which it responded:

In test after test, I’ve seen high SHBG numbers as shown in this image. I’ve literally never seen normal SHBG numbers in any of my tests. While there may be some other cause, based on my brother similarly having high SHBG numbers, I believe genetics is the primary driver there. This screenshot shows five previous tests with high SHBG.

That just means it is harder to have great free testosterone for me. But as long as total testosterone is high enough, in the optimal ranges, I’m still coming across pretty good.

Still, I see this and know there is some room for improvement. I may dig into the research once again and update the two articles on SHBG I’ve done to see if I can actually get this number lower despite genetics.

I also plan to get a bit more consistent with using Pine Pollen tincture, Tongkat Ali, and Nettle Root, three herbs with some evidence of lowering SHBG.

My Immune System Health

One of the areas that I came back looking pretty bad was in my immunity, as represented by white blood cells.

As it says in the potential causes, a recent viral illness can cause this. As I had just had a cold and was bouncing back from it, I attribute these numbers to that. So I was far from my best, and I think these numbers represent that.

However, this also seems to be a pattern from before, so I’m not 100% sure.

As I wrote previously, “Just a bit below the reference ranges. WBC count is a sign of inflammation in the body. Neutrophils fight off infection. If these are too low, I might not be able to fight off infections well. But I wonder if it’s low because of all the different herbs I take, such as Mushrooms and Elderberry, which may “take on” some of the work for the body?”

Superpower’s Recommendations

Based on your results, they make a number of recommendations within their platform. These include lifestyle actions and supplements.

Here is an example from the “Strengthen immune defenses” goal as a result of the white blood cell counts.

In this case, none of those recommendations actually seem all that useful to me.

Wrap Up

I’m going to cover one more area, iron and related biomarkers, in my next article, as I want to do more research on that. It too has shown up as a pattern for me across blood tests across the years. So be on the lookout for that next week.

I’ve shared this article for two reasons. First of all, to give you an inside look on my health. I think that leaders should lead from the front, and by that I mean without hypocrisy. Like the obese doctor, if my numbers were terrible, then it wouldn’t be worth it to listen to me in regards to health, right?
Secondly, to give you an inside look at Superpower if you want to use a new service. Again, you can find out more at their website here.

The problem with all these tests and results, as Dr Jack Kruse has mentioned, they are all done inside labs with generally high artificial light. So lots of blue light which when interacting with blood in a vial, is not comparable to blood inside ones body. What is it skewing , if anything? There are a lot of unknowns. Yes, its the best we probably have, but what does best mean, how far from optimal, whatever that is. is it?

Not to say these tests are not valuable in some fashion. I am 56, have yet to get my bloodwork done. I have not been really sick since last century and this is after a law enforcement career of 23 years, around numerous ‘sick’ people, constantly. No doctor visits, no need since, 1994, after I tore my left quadriceps, lifting. I only bring this up, because I live healthy, with nature ( I have read most of Logan’s books, they are GREAT, esp Powered by Nature), lift/move daily. For me, I live like I was diagnosed with cancer. I do everything I would after such a diagnosis, as a way of life. Makes me hesitant to get tests that have probable issues like stated above and also based on a flawed understanding of the human body by western medicine. They may not really tell us anything. I guess teh way Logan. is using this one, to compare to his previous ones, probably tells him more than the interpretation of teh test.

Just my 2 cents and thanks for the right up Logan. Thanks for all you do. To health!

Definitely some valid points. I like that idea of making choices in living as if you had cancer.

Or maybe you were just sick. But if it was me I’d also look at B12 and mineral balance if it doesn’t resolve.

Did they test your serum copper and ceruloplasmin? With low WBC and neutrophils it’s worth looking at copper/zinc balance. Best of luck to you!
