Today I want to share a one star review with you…
“I whole wholeheartedly have experienced the power of MANY herbs with LEH but I don’t get the hype on this one; first it’s not that bitter – I’ve had way worse Tongkat Ali etc. It doesn’t have much flavor at all really I really have to pause and focus on the flavor to get that ‘hit’ if that makes sense. That bitter flavor everyone seems to pee their pants about lasts less than a millisecond – I actually wish the bitterness was more powerful as to me that means it works better. It’s also not THAT relaxing and doesn’t do much of anything – and that’s my biggest gripe. Bad batch? Who knows. If you want to experience a fantastic relaxing herb that takes you out of your mind that would 1000% be Albizia. You take Albizia and you are literally like… WHOA dude. As a type A personality with OCD and working 2 jobs and thinks about the past far too much- Albizia is some magical sorcery. You take BV on the other hand and its like…is this working? Would NOT recommend as it just seems like a milder form of Albizia. Maybe some people need a milder form of Albizia but hard pass for me- give me the best herb for the job and that herb is not Blue vervain.” – Nathan
Albizia is some magical sorcery. I love it!
This is something I’m always preaching about herbs. What works for one person may do nothing for another…or sometimes even the opposite effect.
When it comes to herbs, to each their own.
I personally love Blue Vervain. Love, love, love! It’s one of my favorites. My herbal allies. And I’ve introduced it to many people that have loved it just the same.
It was one of the favorite plants of the druids, so its own type of magical indeed.
As for Albizia, I like it. Many use Albizia for sleep, and my sleep is already rock solid. So that’s probably why I haven’t used it as much as Blue Vervain.
That’s me. But for Nathan it is clearly the opposite.
What about you?
Blue Vervain is a bitter nervine. That bitterness can be overpowering to some. But that taste is essential as it causes a downward cooling action on the nervous system. I literally feel the stress come of the nerves as soon as it touches my tongue.
I really like that feeling and have found that if people tune in at least 50% of people can feel something similar.
Albizia has a far more fiery taste than bitter. It’s quite strange…and also many people don’t like it. One customer mentioned “It just sits in your throat and smolders like heartburn.”
Here the effect isn’t as much on the nervous system. It’s a calm and expansive feeling I feel in my heart and head that seems to radiate throughout my body. It is a nice way to chill out.
That’s how I experience them anyway. Your mileage likely will very.
Try one. Try both. Try other herbs too.
The only way you’ll find your herbal allies is through trial and error.
(Actually not quite the only way. They’ll come to you in dreams, synchronicities, golden threads and various other ways too if you’re open to that kind of stuff…)
P.S. Do you like these one herb versus another comparisons? Write down in the comment section and let me know specifically any “duals” you’d like to see.
