As you may know, we are reworking our formulas to include the same higher-quality herbs that we have been selling singularly for a while now.
We are offering VIPs the chance to test out the stronger versions of Spartan Formula. This version comes after our personal testing of it and is the version we thought was the best.
If you don’t think and feel they are improved we will go back to the drawing board and reformulate! So your feedback is vitally important to us.
What has changed in Spartan Formula 2.0?
Spartan Formula consists of 4 herbs:
Two of these herbs are getting the upgrade, that of Cordyceps and Rhodiola. The Cordyceps will now be the Cordyceps militaris we sell and not the Cordyceps sinensis blend will use to sell before we found the militaris.
The Rhodiola is the superior grade stuff we source from high up in Tibet compared with our old supplier’s stuff that is cultivated in other parts of China.
Changing these two vastly changes the flavor profile of Spartan from the original. Please let us know what you think of the taste so we can accurately describe it to others when we release the product.
Why are we doing this?
In Chinese culture, with their impressive herbal quality grading system, middle-quality herbs are typically used in formulas to keep the price down, not the more expensive high-quality herbs. This is not an issue of cheapness (as our western minds might perceive it) so much as the acknowledgment that herbs work synergistically together to make their cheaper nature a non-issue. Basically, the formulas end up having higher quality effects because of supporting each other.
Of course, you can use higher quality herbs in a formula to get even better results…
We are making the switch because, in America, people expect you to provide the best quality no matter what. Americans’ also highly value consistency in an inconsistent world. Both of these come at the cost of price when dealing with herbs though.
To keep the price the same as the old formula, we have reduced the size of the bag. Coming in at 75 grams now with a recommended dosage of 1-2 tsp. This is in contrast to the original Spartan’s 100 grams and 1 tsp – 1 tbsp dosage.
Thus, nothing really changes except the dose taken and the knowledge that anything we sell by itself that is also used in a formula is one and the same thing.
Please let us know when you can how it affects your day-to-day, especially in the area of stress and physical movement.
