As you may know, we are reworking our formulas to include the same higher-quality herbs that we have been selling single now for a while.
We are offering VIPs the chance to test out the stronger versions of Hercules and Spartan Formulas. These versions come after our personal testing of them and are the versions we thought we the best.
If you don’t think and feel they are improved we will go back to the drawing board and reformulate! So your feedback is vitally important to us.
What has changed in Hercules Formula 2.0?
Hercules Formula now consists of 6 herbs:
- Black Ant
Three of these herbs are getting the upgrade, that of Cordyceps, Rhodiola, and Cistanche.
The Cordyceps will now be the Cordyceps militaris we sell and not the Cordyceps sinensis blend will use to sell before we found the militaris.
The Rhodiola and Cistanche are both the superior grade stuff we source from high up in Tibet compared with our old supplier’s stuff that is cultivated separately in other parts of China.
A new herb is being introduced to this formula to replace the loss of Maral Root in our supply chain. Maral Root was in this pre-workout formula to give it some added recovery benefits and that is exactly why it is being replaced with Rehmannia, an excellent herb used that provides collagen building properties.
Changing all these herbs up vastly changes the flavor profile of Hercules from the original. Please let us know what you think of the taste so we can accurately describe it to others when we finally release this product to the main line.
Why are we doing this?
In Chinese culture, with their impressive herbal quality grading system, middle-quality herbs are typically used in formulas to keep the price down, not the more expensive high-quality herbs. This is not an issue of cheapness (as our western minds might perceive it) so much as the acknowledgment that herbs work synergistically together to make their cheaper nature a non-issue. Basically, the formulas end up having higher quality effects because of supporting each other.
Of course, you can use higher quality herbs in a formula to get even better results…
We are making the switch because, in America, people expect you to provide the best quality no matter what. Americans’ also highly value consistency in an inconsistent world. Both of these come at the cost of price when dealing with herbs though.
A bag of Hercules comes in at 100 grams with a recommended dosage of 1 tsp – 1 tbsp dosage 15 – 30 minutes before working out. Because these are higher quality herbs, experiment with a smaller dose then you would normally take to see if you can get a similar effect on your workout.
Please let us know when you can how this affects your day-to-day, especially in the regards to your training!
