I always find it useful to reflect back on time as I plan out the future. And here at Lost Empire Herbs, it’s no different. So in this post, I want to share some of the “best of the best” that took place this past year.
New or Improved Herbs
The only brand-new herb we released this year was Elderberry. This was released in March, right at the end of cold and flu season, but has quickly become one of my favorites.
Plus, we had two of our most popular formulas put into capsule form.
• Thor’s Hammer Formula
• Phoenix Rejuvenation Formula
We’ve also improved a couple of products. Our Goji Berry changed from a juice powder to a better-tasting freeze-dried concentrate. And Stag Swag now has a higher quality filtration process so the taste is even better than before.
While not a new herb or formula, I also want to make mention of our Herbal Quiz.
This was a very large undertaking and I’m proud to say it appears to be helping people with identifying the right herbs to try based upon their own individual needs, especially great for all the newbies trying to get started. This was the first iteration of it, and with more herbs and more feedback, it’ll be ever-expanding and improving.
Other New Offerings
Something I’m even more proud of was the release of the book I slaved away at for a few years, Powered By Nature.
Herbs are covered in just one chapter. Otherwise, there are all kinds of healthy living methods through nature-based wisdom that are highly recommended if you’re looking to get healthier, more energized and even happier.
Lastly, we have a good inventory of Stag Swag available! (And not just Stag Swag.) We also have our own line of signature gear available, which includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, beanies and more.
This year also saw the launch of the Health Sovereign Podcast. This basically takes all the work I started in Powered By Nature (or before that) and extends it further. Just a half-hour episode per week, and so far my guests and I have covered many fascinating health topics.
Best Articles and Series of 2019
There is no particular order to all these, except that I’m covering the series first, then the one-off articles afterward. My goal for most of the year has been to deliver a new post each week. And these aren’t your typical short, fluffy click-bait type posts, these articles were written based on in-depth research and study. Longer articles, mean more reading, however, they offer a lot of usable and valuable information.
There was also a six-part series that dove dive into hormones and covered estrogen in men, sex hormone-binding globulin and DHT.
1. Estrogen for Men’s Health
2. Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG): Good or Bad?
3. How to Raise or Lower Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)
4. The Basics and Benefits of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT): Part I
5. DHT’s Role in Prostate Issues, Hair Loss and Acne: Part II
6. How to Decrease or Increase DHT Part 3
We wanted to hear from our best customers and the success they’re having with herbs and more. So we put together a Case Study Contest and have published the first two winner’s reports. And we were happy to award $1000 in Lost Empire Credit to the first winner, Brad Wilson.
Prior to that, I shared how to conduct a good experiment on yourself with the herbs as well as other lifestyle interventions. (This is ongoing so you can enter any time. Details are in the first post listed.)
1. Win Up to $1000 in Lost Empire Credit by Giving Us Your Case Study
2. Case Study: Athlete and Father of Three Makes Comeback After Two Heart Attacks
3. Case Study: Man Doubled Testosterone in Couple Months
4. Experimenting with Herbs [How and Why]
I also wrote a three-part series that covers the constitutional and energetic dynamics of both people and herbs. This was created to help you better understand which personally may suit you best.
1. Yin and Yang Symbol, Attributes and Herbs
2. Hot vs. Cold: Herbal Temperature Dynamics
3. Dry vs. Wet – Herbal Energetic Dynamics
Understanding endocrine-disrupting chemicals are critical for health in this day and age, unfortunately. So many of our herbs support the hormones in a myriad of ways. And in addition to taking them, you need to work to reduce your exposure to those xeno-estrogens and more that would cause havoc to them.
I also created a guide to showing you why not all herbal supplements are created equal. You MUST understand the different types and strengths of extracts to optimize your result. (Hint: The reason our herbs tend to be more expensive than others, is ours is Top-Shelf i.e. higher quality, stronger potency, lab-tested, etc.!)
Lastly, I was pleased to see the results of a survey looking at morning wood and the effects of our Pine Pollen. I hope we can continue this line of research into the new year.
Some of these articles also have videos. In counting, I found that we released 49 videos on Youtube over the course of 2019. That’s almost one per week.
Even though the search engine god, Google, has chosen to suppress information about alternative health in their search results (they own Youtube as well), we’re still going to continue delivering all of the latest studies, science, and news to keep you updated and informed on how to have the best health possible.
What’s Coming in 2020…
Of course, there were many internal changes in our business throughout the course of the year. With that, we’re a stronger business than we ever had been before. And this means we’re better set up to continue and expand on delivering great things in the year to come.
-
- We’re going to continue to deliver the highest quality and best value herbs we have available.
- We’re going to continue to deliver amazing articles and videos.
- We’re going to continue to have the best customer service available.
These are the three main pillars of our business so we’ll be focusing on making them even stronger.
In addition, Athena Women’s Formula will be available in capsule form soon. This is the only new offering I’ll mention, but rest assured there is, plenty more in the works coming, and with some interesting and different experiments already underway for new herbs and formulas.
So be sure to stay tuned… you don’t want to miss anything new we do in 2020!
