Just recently we added hormone saliva tests available on the website.
This comes as a natural addon since we focus on hormone health so much here at Lost Empire Herbs.
And I wanted to show you an example of what your hormone test results could look like. Click on the image to see it bigger.
(We did ask permission to use this report from a real client as long as personally identifiable information was removed.)
As you can see the issue is not just testosterone. Testosterone is actually in the “normal range,” though certainly on the lower end of it.
Estrogen, specifically estradiol, is too high.
DHEA is too low.
The balance of cortisol and melatonin is heavily out of whack. (Sleep issues and fatigue when getting up!)
It’s not labeled as such but DHT is too low too, if you’re looking for androgenic benefits.
What does it take to fix all this?
A normal doctor would probably prescribe a testosterone injection but that only addresses one issue. In fact, done alone it could exacerbate some of the other hormonal problems.
Instead you need a holistic plan.
This of course should include herbs, but that’s not all.
The right kind of exercise, the right nutrition, avoiding endocrine disrupting chemicals as much as possible, and so on and so forth.
Hopefully your hormones are doing better than this.
Based on how you feel, and things like morning wood, you can get a good idea of what’s working and what’s not.
But the numbers can certainly help too.
