I was feeling a bit down the other day. Yep, it even happens to me. ;)
But fortunately, only from time to time.
As I sat there journaling (part of my morning routine) I asked myself ‘what can I do about this?’ And two things came to mind, meridian tapping, aka EFT, and loading up on some “happy” herbs.
So I did both.
To load up on the “happy” herbs, I created this new drink…
INGREDIENTS
1 Tbsp Goji Juice Powder
1 Tbsp Seabuckthorn Juice Powder
1 Tbsp Beet Juice Powder
1 tsp Ziziphus
1 tsp Pine Pollen Powder
1/4 tsp Gotu Kola
1/4 tsp Albizia
1/4 tsp Mucuna
1/4 tsp Shilajit powder
1/8 tsp Reishi Mushroom
1/8 tsp Schisandra
8 ozs. Water
DIRECTIONS
Add water to a mason jar, then add all of the herbs. Screw lid on jar tight and shake until well blended.
*Can also mix herbs in your smoothie, protein shake, tea, or other drinks of choice.
Now, this is a lot of herbs. More than I typically take. But I felt I needed a “boost” and this certainly gave it to me.
And you know what? My slump went away and I felt energized and on top of my game again.
I made the same drink for a couple more days, just to make sure the slump didn’t return.
Now, you have to make this “exact” recipe, but I posted it here to give you some new ideas. And the best part…you don’t even have to be in a slump to benefit from drinking it.
Now, let me give you a few more details about why I chose each of the above herbs for my drink. (All of these products from Lost Empire Herbs are at the end of the article.)
Goji Juice Powder – Tastes good. Also known as the “Happy Berry” and that’s what I wanted to feel in the moment.
Seabuckthorn Juice Powder – Taste good. Lots of nutrients.
Beet Juice Powder – Tastes good. To help stimulate blood flow for delivery of all the other nutrients.
Ziziphus – A good shen herb that tastes pretty good too.
Pine Pollen Powder – A slight hormone boost, but also loaded with other nutrition.
Gotu Kola – A great shen herb, and looking for calm, mental clarity.
Albizia – A great shen herb for more mood support.
Mucuna – Rich in L-dopa, the neurotransmitter precursor to dopamine, which I had a feeling I could use more of in the state I was in.
Shilajit Powder – For the trace minerals, the nootropic effect and also as a potentiator of the other herbs.
Reishi Mushroom – A great shen herb
Schisandra – The mental acuity that comes with taking it.
Hope you find this useful.
