Today I’d like to tell you a bit more about feeling the energetics of your herbs.
Unlike most companies, at Lost Empire Herbs we deal with powders and tinctures instead of pills or capsules. And for a good reason too.
When you take a herb in the powder or tincture form the effects can be felt instantly, whereas with capsules you have to wait until it enters the digestive system and begins to break down.
I have been experimenting with some genuine encapsulated Cordyceps lately.
As soon as I took it I felt a need to breathe deeper than before and this makes sense as Cordyceps is beneficial to lungs, among other things.
The second thing I noticed is a movement of energy to other parts of my body. I’ll be sharing more details on that in a future video.
(By the way, we are looking at making these new raw, genuine cordyceps available to VIP customers, as well as our cordyceps extract that is currently available. Stay tuned for details and be forewarned these are very expensive!)
By tasting herbs you can better feel the energetic effects of herbs, and not just take them for physiological reasons. Of course you will find far different effects with different herbs.
It works best if you focus on why you are taking these herbs, taste them fully, then pay attention to what you feel and what your is body telling you.
For example, this past weekend I was at an herbalism course and we were focusing on the topic of pain. As we talked about different herbs that can help with this, Wild Lettuce, Indian Warrior, Jamaican Dogwood and others we were also passing around tinctures and taking a few drops.
After a few of these my muscles were completely relaxed and I basically felt pleasantly “stoned”. I could have drifted off into a great nap right then and there.
Powerful stuff! And this comes about more through an energetic route rather than a hitting yourself over the head with a sledgehammer that many drugs do.
Contrast that to a little bit later. I wasn’t the only one feeling that way, so to wake ourselves back up we used a Cayenne tincture (yes, you need to be careful with that one!).
Literally just three drops and the circulation was back in action all throughout the body, stimulated and wide awake.
I share this because by working with herbs, you can begin to cultivate that self-awareness. As self-awareness has wide-ranging applications, this is a useful practice.
So pay attention when you take herbs, instead of just downing them and going about your day. This is the necessary start to cultivating this awareness.

Cool, this confirms what I have been going through, though I hope to get better at it and feel it in other parts of my body. When stuff adds to my energy I usually really feel it in my Yin Tang point mostly. For me it also made sense to let it set in the mouth and under tongue because the digestion starts there and it gets my stomach ready for what is coming. I have to be careful with the breath because I have occasionally sucked some powder into my lungs, lol

=>The power of strength testing<=
Hi folks I'm so happy I found your Webb sight and I would like to share something I have learned along my journey to a healthy life style STRENGTH TESTING.
This is a proven method of testing the harmful GMO/plastics/cosmetics/water or anything you put on your body or digest. All matter has + positive and – negative energy. Testing the strength of that product can be measured before you use it here is how it works.
Stand at attention and raise on of your arms straight out to your side. Now have a assistant pull down on that arm that you have raised and resssest keeping your arm straight. This is your base line ,, now again rais the same arm and with your other hand have your assistant put something in your hand, like None GMO vegetable or maybe some essential oil like thieves dose not matter it just needs to be good for you. Again have your assistant pull down on your arm and again resssest you will find that you can hold that arm out straight no matter how hard they pull. Again this is a base line, NOW have your assistant put some Equel imitation sugar or Germ X hand sanitizer in your hand and than have them pull down on your arm with the same amount of strength/ force your arm will drop no matter how hard you resssest. This is – negative energy omitting from the product causing you to fail. The strength test can be done with anything .. so the next time your not sure of a type of product, before you stick it in your mouth strength test for -negative harmful poison.

I concur that is a great way to test, however it is also very susceptible to subtle things like thoughts getting in the way of an accurate test. Therefore it takes practice and proper methods of using it to be done right.

In some cultures, eating is like a spiritual experience. It’s time we move back to this way of being and enjoy more of what life is offering us through food, through herbs. Thank you for the work you do here. I’m looking forward to learning more from you. I appreciate you.

Happy to hear you enjoy our work. More good stuff to come!

The secret of preparing powerful medicine lies in the energy. This is the reason why indigen people have specific “songs” for the plants and herbs.
In the traditional holistic worldsight of the natives, every plant or tree has a “spirit”, not totally incarnated, but with a typical spirit… Hence, the energy!
When I prepare medicine, i sing and try to connect to the energy of the plant. When the energy enters the medicine, taste and even colour may change. Then the medicine becomes powerful. Thanks for posting these great insights, Logan! Greets from germany, Norman

Absolutely. When working with plants they may reveal their song to you. The songs are created by the people. I haven’t had that occur yet, but look forward to it in the future!

We talked eight herbs for sex drive. I have a question? What is the recommended dosage for each herb daily? Thank you
admin says
You can find our recommended dosages for our herbs on each of the page. It’s typically right above the second order button on most pages, before the references and other stuff.

Question: what’s your take on determining intention and tracing effects when it comes to taking several herbs together as in a formula or just custom blending a few things together? Do you mentally deconstruct the blend to consider the intention/effects of each constituent, or do you focus on the whole formula?
admin says
In a formula you wouldn’t really feel each thing because they’re going to interact with each other. For instance certain herbs have an affinity for certain organs and channels, and thus when other herbs, which may not have that same affinity, are taken with it, they are driven there. So with a formula focus on the whole formula.

Thank you for showing how to amp mindfulness and engagement when taking herbs through attention to taste, effect, and intention. I am going to apply this and, in answer to your question at the end of the posting, I would be interested in learning more about getting better in tune with the energy of herbs.
