Training schedule
Tex is currently working hard for his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. But he, like most of us, still has a day job and so can’t train as much as he would like too. But working as a trainer at a UFC gym he gets to impart his knowledge and stay in that state of mind.
On most days he trains at noon, taking his herbal drink beforehand to get the most out of his workout. Tuesdays and Thursday he will return in the evening to put more sweat time in and will also have an herbal drink beforehand. Even though he takes the drink before he works out, he views it as a recovery drink, helping him to get leaner yet stronger faster.
Herbal Use
Morning
Pine Pollen – 3 tablespoon
Titan Formula (coming soon…) – 1 tablespoon; takes for recovery
Tongkat Ali Extract – 100 mg
3 Mushroom Blend – 1 tablespoon; takes for immunity
All of this is mixed together in a shake and separately he takes:
Shilajit Pitch – thumb sized
Before Training
Titan Formula – 1 tablespoon; takes for recovery
Hercules 2 Formula (coming soon…) – 1 teaspoon
Spartan Formula – 1 teaspoon
Cordyceps Extract – 1 teaspoon; takes for endurance
All mixed together.
How they help
While he has some impressive story’s about the effects the herbs have on his training, he can’t even train at his max because of a triceps injury that has prevented him from doing any lifting for a while now. The only reason he continues to roll is because in jiu-jitsu he says, “Strength is good but not everything.” Strategy, tactics and technique are the names of the game.
Even with this injury he recently rolled against two black belts nonstop for 45 minutes. He switched from one guy to the other every 5 minutes with only a 20 sec rest the whole time. This kind of intense activity requires true stamina that is of a primal nature. To those of us that have never done martial arts or rolled in jiu-jitsu, this doesn’t necessarily blow the mind but that is only because of a lack of experience. Anyone that has been in a fight knows that exhaustion shows itself faster than in almost any other activity. Tex believes the herbs are the reason he is able to train at such intense levels. He has taken plenty of other supplements that are not so natural and can tell a real difference with the herbs.
Because Tex does take so many herbs to help with his training, he is reaping benefits that don’t carry weird unknown side effects down the road (cancer is pretty weird). One of the benefits is that he doesn’t have to eat as much. Depending on the herbs being consumed on a daily basis it is noted that one can begin to desire less food. This stems from the fact that the body is receiving all the nutrition it needs so does not require more. Most of the food we grow these days falls short of providing us the nutrients we need because of soil depletion. But many herbs are wild, or at most semi-cultivated yet still retain much of their wild nature.
Medicinal herbs are a higher state of nutrition. Tex eats less and drinks less caffeine then he felt he needed to before. He has the energy to press hard in workouts but recovers fast to push again the following day. Part of this he believes is due to his taking our soon-to-be-released Titan blend which he claims is amazing. He is on the Lost Empire Herbs team because he was the first to recognize our goals of helping others achieve their physical dreams while making them stronger in body, mind and soul for the long-term. He believes in the mission and will keep promoting our stuff because of how positive of an effect he has seen from it in his life and in his training.
